I, Querg P Quigel am a fourth son of a fourth son. I had no inheritance and had been told since my youth, that I did not have the “lobes” to succeed. Realizing there was no Profit for me in Ferengi Society, I set my sites elsewhere.

The Rules of Acquisition were my guide to where my profit laid. The Seventy-fifth Rule of Acquisition states “Home is where the heart is, but the stars are made of latinum” and per the Sixty-second Rule of Acquisition “The riskier the road, the greater the profit.” Space is very risky, but how to get there with no money and no acceptance in my own society.

Then reading an old business history book, I came upon my answer. Some 40 years ago a Ferengi broke with society and became a Star Fleet Officer. This was my way into space. After much risk and hard work I have become a Captain of a small Cruiser the U.$.$. Path2Profit Star Fleet Registry number NCC-99887. There truly is latinum out here in space
